The Giver

The Giver - Review the nine (9) Writing Topics for The Giver, pick three (3) and follow the directions for each.
If you pick number 4, the descriptive paragraph has to be at least four paragraphs, the poem has to be at least three (3) stanzas.
All of the rest have to be at least five (5) pargraphs.
These are due on February 13 to be up-loaded to turitin,com. Each is to up-loaded separately; Number 1, Number 2, and Number 3.

Homework - Continue to work on gathering information for your research paper; Harlem Renaissance. Make sure you make a source card for each resource you use. This will be helpful in creating your Works Cited page.

Cut three (3) articles from The Boston Globe; not sports or entertainment, and write a three (3) paragraph summary for each. Due Thursday January 31, 2013.

Test on Monday - Final Exam for The Giver on Monday, this test is equal to five (5) tests.

Information - Please go to the Cambridge Rindge & Latin School Library website
 (http://crls.cpsd.us/library/library) and go to The CRLS Research Guide, click on Making Source Cards. Review how to make a source card for all of the websites you used for your Harlem Renaissance paper that was passed in January 4. Make a source card for each of the sites used to help with your Works Cited page for your final paper which is due February 25.
Source cards will be due January 23.

Homework - Please write (typed only) an original poem to be presented in class next Tuesday, January 22.

Please re-write your Harlem Renaissance paper if you have a high similarity score (anything over 25%). We will review paraphrasing before your final paper is due on February 25.
